Fostering community has always been foundational to Thrive Central Oregon’s mission, but the challenges of this past year demonstrate the importance of community now more than ever. We strive to promote a person-centered, holistic approach to prevent housing and financial insecurity in every interaction. The relational aspect of our work is embedded into our organization’s very model to “meet people where they are at” -- both in a theoretical and a practical sense. Prior to the pandemic, we met with Central Oregonians face-to-face in public spaces where they already were, such as libraries and meal sites.
With the rise of COVID-19, public health guidelines, and subsequent closures, Thrive’s model shifted all services to remote communication. Agencies and individuals seeking assistance can get in touch via our message line at 541-728-1022 and leave a voicemail or through email at info@thrivecentraloregon.org and a staff member will reach out to schedule a phone appointment.
