This month we are highlighting our Community Outreach Advocate Leah. Leah started working for Thrive in September and primarily serves as an advocate in Madras and Redmond. When we asked Leah to tell us a little about herself she said, “Central Oregon has been my home for most of my life and I love making a difference in my community! I also have a hobby-farm with horses, chickens, pigs, and my four dogs. I love everything outdoors that Central Oregon has to offer. Hiking Smith Rock, white-water-rafting on the Deschutes, biking through Sunriver, and paddleboarding on Lake Billy Chinook are some of my favorites!”
Leah decided to join the Thrive Team because, “I partnered with Thrive in the past and was always so impressed with their hands-on and passionate work with the community. Thrive creates impactful, positive, life changing connections with people in our Central Oregon Community. I was so excited to be able to be a part of that change and impact!”
Leah’s favorite part about working for Thrive is, “creating those positive relationships with my peers in the community. I also am so lucky to be a part of such a supportive team, my co-workers are the best!”
One of Leah’s favorite quotes is ““Wherever you go, go with your heart”. She loves this quote because “I think doing what you love and following your heart is what life is all about.”
