1.4 million Oregonians - 33% of the population- have Oregon Health Plan (OHP), our state's Medicaid insurance. In 2027, House Resolution 1 (HR1) budget bill (also known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act) goes into effect and will cause coverage changes for every single OHP member.

These changes will disproportionately affect the folks we work with - as 80% of our clients have OHP. We're here for you! Every Thrive Community Outreach Advocate is an OHP Assister, meaning we can help you understand the changes and complete the requirements. Whether you need help applying for OHP, reporting a life change, responding to requests, renewing your coverage, or understanding changes with HR1 - Thrive is here to assist.

Applying for health insurance, as well as understanding benefits and finding providers that accept your insurance, can be confusing and challenging, and our Advocates stay on top of the most recent changes and requirements so that we can meet you where you're at and do our best to explain and help you navigate the process.

🎉 And a special thank you to the Oregon Health Authority for CPOP (Community Partnership and Outreach Program) funding that helps us reach more folks in our community to maintain their health insurance!
