This month we are highlighting our Bilingual Community Outreach Advocate Oswaldo. Oswaldo recently moved to Central Oregon after living in Eugene for six years. He is originally from Nicaragua, but spent a few years traveling before he decided to settle in the US in 2014. In his free time he enjoys fishing, photography, and playing rugby. He is excited to be in Central Oregon and explore more of what it has to offer.
When asked why Oswaldo wanted to join Thrive he said, “When I found out about Thrive I knew immediately it was something I wanted to be a part of. I wanted to be able to help people navigate resources that could help provide them with a better life. I also wanted to be able to support and connect with people who have a language barrier to accessing those resources. The teamwork and support that I get working from Thrive is something I have never experienced before. That, along with the satisfaction of seeing people improve their lives is what I like most about working for Thrive!
