Meet Christi and learn more about why she chose to work with Thrive and what makes her tick ❤️

Tell us a little about yourself, anything you want to share.

I was born in Peru, and over the years I've called several places home. I'm passionate about traveling, trying new foods, enjoying the arts, and spending time learning about new cultures.

How long have you lived in Central Oregon and/or what brought you here?

I moved to Central Oregon a few years ago, drawn by family—and of course, the beautiful landscape, the sense of community, and the opportunity to engage in creative work and advocacy.

What brought you to Thrive?

I have always believed in supporting equitable access to resources and connecting with the community. When I learned about Thrive and its mission of bridging barriers for community members, it felt like a natural fit. I saw an opportunity to bring together my passions for community, equity, and connection.

What do you like about the Thrive team so far?

The Thrive team is deeply committed, caring, and authentic! I appreciate how every person values empathy, equity, and collaboration. It feels like working with people who genuinely want to support others, not just as a job, but as a mission.

Do you have a favorite book, song, or quote you’d like to share?

“We are all threads in the tapestry of life.” This reminds me of how interconnected our stories are, and how together we weave our community.
