Tell us a little about yourself - anything you want to share.

I could eat sushi for breakfast, lunch, and dinner- and I did just that when I visited Japan this past winter. I fell in love with Japan during my time there; it's beauty, their way of life, the history around every corner and their cuisine. I feel drawn to live there one day.

I love everything outdoors, and never turn down trying something new (especially when it comes to travel... no matter how near or how far). I want to experience everything the world has to offer.

Photography has always been an inspiration when it comes to my travels, especially film. Receiving a new processed roll of film back is utmost exciting & promotes living in the moment and collecting only the most special of memories.

How long have you lived in Central Oregon and/or what brought you here?

I am originally from Orange County California, but never loved the hustle and bustle of where I grew up. I always seeked to be surrounded by nature, and a slower, more inspired way of life. Upon my first visit to Oregon, I decided I wanted to stay and never went back. I transferred to Oregon State University and became a Beaver for life.

After I graduated I moved to Bend and have lived here for 2 years.

What brought you to Thrive?

The people. Face to face interactions where you can inspire someone to feel a sense of hope or courage to keep moving forward brings me life and energy. This is exactly what the people that work at Thrive do! I immediately felt this genuine sense of motivation from the Thrive team upon my first interview. Being even a small reason for a client's "win"... whether that is housing, identifying new resources, getting connected to health benefits etc. and being a part of a team that feels the same way does not feel like work.

What do you like about the Thrive team so far?

I love our team's rambunctious energy when it comes to helping the community, and the happiness it brings each and every one of us when we can fulfill our role. I so enjoy our efforts in raising team spirits with out of the ordinary work events such as river floats, happy hours, and brunch luck. The open door policy is also so encouraging, as I feel confident to ask anyone a question at any time. This is just a few things out of many.

Do you have a favorite book, song or quote you'd like to share?

A quote that I have on my desk: "The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts: therefore: Guard accordingly." - Marcus Aurelius
