For our staff highlight this month, we interviewed our Community Outreach Advocate Rachel! When we asked Rachel to share a little bit about where she is from and what her background is she said...
“When I originally started working at Thrive I was living in Bend, but recently moved back to Minnesota where I am originally from. I now work remotely, but will forever have a special place in my heart for Bend, which is why I'm so grateful to continue to provide outreach and help the Central Oregon community. Before moving to Bend, I provided Independent Living Skills Counseling to adults with mental illness and disabilities, which is what solidified my passion to help others.”
Rachel started working for Thrive back in October and when we asked her why she wanted to work for Thrive she said "What inspired me to work for Thrive was the focus on equity and providing equal opportunity for those in our community that are struggling in some way.”
Her favorite part about working for Thrive is “how supportive and caring my teammates are, and how genuine everyone is in their passion to help others.”
